Laurie Herter wins “I can’t believe you wore that in public award”

Stuart, FL.  -  Ocean Gate’s Vice President of Finance, Laurie Herter won the “I don’t believe you wore that in public award” at the 2010 Pajama Jam.  This is an annual event by the Junior League of Martin County.  The successful event attracted donations of pajamas, and personal clothing and raised awareness about a particular need in our community.  When children are removed from unsafe conditions, this usually means that they must leave quickly and are unable to take their personal clothes and belongings.  Wahoo’s on the Waterfront hosted the pajama party.  The entry was a donation of “pajamas” or $10.00, and of course everyone attended in costume.  The restaurant donated the first round for everyone who participated.  The donations will be distributed through United for Family and the 4C’s in Stuart.  Both organizations had representatives in “proper attire”.  For more information on the Junior League of Martin County, visit http://www.jlmcflorida.com .  We are still waiting for the photos of Laurie accepting her award!!
