STUART, FL   Ocean Gate General Contractors, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Kirk Asche to our team as a Project Superintendent.  Kirk will be providing onsite project management to the City of St. Petersburg’s Albert Whitted Air Traffic Control Tower project,  just getting underway. 

Ocean Gate has an extensive aviation portfolio, and welcomes the opportunity to work with the City of St. Petersburg on this exciting project.  The Albert Whitted ATCT team also includes Mike Cason, LEED AP, Project Manager, and Dan Alessandrini, General Superintendent.  The scope of work includes the construction of a new air traffic control tower and unmanned weather station.

 Kirk developed his “can do” attitude early in life as a baseball player.  He advanced to the Major League teams of the St. Louis Cardinals, the New York Mets, and the Oakland Athletics.  In 2003 he laid down his bat and returned to the University of South Florida to earn a degree in Management.   Since that time, Kirk has become a notable star in the construction industry.  His focus, ability, and management skills allow him to guide complex projects to completion ahead of schedule and within budget.  His strong background with medical projects have enabled Kirk to develop an expertise with detailed project coordination, scheduling, and quality assurance on a project.  Other sectors of  Kirk's experience include recreational facilities, aquatic complexes, and aviation construction.  He is a welcome addition to our team.
