Stuart, FL  -  City of Delray Beach CRA awards Ocean Gate General Contractors, Inc. the  design/build of the West Atlantic Public Plaza.  In 2002, the City of Delray Beach published their “Master Plan” for the city.  This plan included “pocket Parks” in the communities along Atlantic Avenue, and this project is the realization of one of these park plans.  This urban park is designed for the residents to inhabit, not solely view.  These charming grounds will feature a raised platform with a stage defined by a shade sail structure.  Pervious pavers will encourage walking through the landscaped areas featuring planter areas, and seat walls as well as benches and decorative landscaping and trellises.  This park will blend with the streetscape that has been installed along Atlantic Avenue to the east. 

Currie Sowards Qguila Architects, of Delray Beach created the design, and Sean Lukas, Project Manager with Ocean Gate General Contractors, Inc.  will bring their vision to life.  The park will be open for the public by Valentines’ Day.
